Montana East West Shrine Game

Matt Upham - Defensive Line Coach

Kash Goicoechea - Running Back - game Most Outstanding Player

Isaac Keim - Defensive End - West Defensive MVP

Cohen Kastelitz - Wide Receiver - West Offensive MVP

Henry Sellards - Offensive Tackle (did not play in the game)

The Pack dominated the game for the West helping them win their 4th in a row over the East 48-20. Coach Matt Upham dialed up a gameplan that held the East to only 20 points and forced 6 turnovers, Alex Hausmann played lock-down coverage all night and Isaac Keim was named the defensive MVP for the West. On offense, Cohen Kastelitz had 4 catches for 53 yards and was named the MVP for the West on offense while Kash Goicoechea rushed 12 times for 169 yards, scored 2 touchdowns and was named the games Most Outstanding Player. Montana East West Shrine Game

Cameron Shaw - Defensive End

Cameron had a big game for the West defense helping them earn their third straight victory over the East in dominating fashion 45-13. 

2021 Selections

Montana East West Shrine Game

Patrick Rohrbach - Kicker / Punter

Connor Sullivan - Corner

Both Connor and Patrick had a big impact in helping the West make it two wins in a row over the East winning by a score of 40-21. Connor played lock-down coverage all night and returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown while Patrick booted a 34 yard field goal and controlled field position all night with his punts and kickoffs.

 

2020 Selections

Montana East West Shrine Game

Rocco Beccari - Offensive Tackle.

Wolfpack guard Rocco Beccari led a bruising rushing attack for the West that ended a three-game skid in the series and brought the trophy back to the West.

Hank Nuce - Defensive Tackle

Maddoxx Fucci - Offensive Tackle

The 2020 summer Montana East West Shrine game was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

2018 Selections

Montana East West Shrine Game

Preston Blain - Running Back

Preston Blain rushed 6 times for 15 yards but the West fell to the East 22-28.

Preston Blain - Running Back

Nico Young - Offensive Guard

Ethan Baines - Defensive End

All 3 Wolfpack players had a hand in another dominant Montana win 41-14. The win gave Montana a final edge of 20-6 in the series which will no longer be played. 

2017 Selections

Knights of Columbus Montana vs North Dakota Badlands Bowl

Drew Turner - Running Back

Mark Estes - Wide Receiver

Max Morris - Tight End

Jackson Pepe - Safety

Drew Turner rushed 16 times for 77 yards behind the blocking of Max Morris, Mark Estes caught a 7 yard touchdown pass and Jackson Pepe was all over the field on defense for a Montana squad that overcame a sluggish first half and after being down 0-7, won the game 55-7. 

2016 Selections

Kellen Bemis - Center (did not play in the game)

Wolfpack defenders Patrick O'Connell and Tadan Gilman had an impact on the game but it wasn't enough as Billings Senior QB Nate Dick got the best of them once again and led the East to a 38-24 victory. Jaxen Hashley and Kellen Bemis did not play in the game due to injuries sustained before camp began.

Jaxen Hashley - Defensive Line

Kellen Bemis - Center (did not play in the game)

Patrick O'Connell (fumble recovery) and Tadan Gilman (interception) each came up with turnovers for the West in what became the most lopsided win for Montana (65-0) in the series history.

All 5 Wolfpack players represented the Pack in a big way as the West rolled to a dominating 45-14 victory in the 70th annual East West Shrine Game. Leif Ericksen was the leading passer in the game going 11 for 15 for 204 yards and an exciting 74 yard touchdown, Caleb Jones had 6 catches for 72 yards and Thomas Trefney rushed 9 times for 69 yards scoring on a beautiful 45 yard run in the 3rd quarter when the West offense really got rolling. Nathan Hammer led the way up front offensively and linebacker John Learn led a dominant West defense that limited the East to only 7 points.

Thomas Trefney scored the first touchdown of the game and led team Montana in rushing with 49 total yards to help Montana win it's 2nd straight and push their series lead to 17-6. Caleb Jones helped a stout Montana defense limit North Dakota's offense to only 7 points and 203 total yards.

The West made it close in the 2nd half after falling behind 19-0 at halftime but their rally fell short and the East claimed a 19-14 victory. All 5 WolfPack players played well and once again represented the WolfPack proudly.

Cain Boschee made it two straight for the WolfPack on defense as he was named the defensive MVP after intercepting 3 passes and leading team Montana to a dominating win over the North Dakota all-stars. All 8 WolfPack players did great things, made a huge difference in the game, and represented the Pack well. Harrison Kauffman protected Brady McChesney who threw for 183 yards and a touchdown to teammates Devin Cochran (6 catches for 77 yards) and Logan Jones (6 catches for 109 yards and 8 rushes for 92 yards). On defense, adding to Cain Boschee's game record 3 interceptions and MVP award, linebacker Josh Hill, safety Tucker Rauthe and defensive end Andrew Harris dominated North Dakota limiting their vaunted wing-t attack to only 41 yards on 24 attempts and 208 total yards for the game. Montana outgained North Dakota 570 to 208 and won on the scoreboard 40-25 making it 16 to 6 for the series in Montana's favor.

The three WolfPack players continued the excellent representation of Glacier High in the West's dominant 34-10 win.

Evan Epperly was named the defensive MVP for the Montana all-stars after returning an interception 35 yards for a touchdown and helping shut down the passing game for the North Dakota all-stars.

All four WolfPack football players represented Glacier very proudly with their performance in the West's 31-28 come from behind victory over the East. Devin scored the go-ahead touchdown and played well up front on defense while Rial Gunlikson and Reid Siderius helped a West defense that gave up 28 first quarter points shut out the East the last three quarters. Kyle Griffith led the West in receiving with 6 catches for 129 yards.

Once again, three WolfPack football players represented Glacier very proudly with their performances in the West's third straight victory over the East. Joel played well up front on offense and Boyce Ballard and Bryan Chery helped a dominant West defense shut down the East.

Shay Smithwick-Hann - Quarterback - Silver Star game MVP
Jake Criner - Center 
Taylor Hart - Running Back 


All three Wolfpack players represented Glacier High School and Wolfpack football very proudly and played well as the West rallied from down 0-18 to win 34-18. Offensive lineman Jake Criner protected and opened holes up front while QB Shay Smithwick Hann won the Silver Star award as he was named the games MVP and Taylor Hart led all running backs in rushing effectiveness.
